dead, the mother disguises her as a boy so she can leave the house and find a
way to make a living. Film in original version with French and German subtitles

The “Au Premier” restaurant in the

- Wednesday, 24th

What exactly is homeopathy
and what is it used for? Uta Knoth a certified homeopathic practitioner will

standards and work by stimulating the body's own healing power.

PAST EVENTS
The
January Movie “Whale Rider” set in New Zealand was
incredibly moving and enjoyed by all who went to see it.
Twelve
members gathered for the first luncheon of the year at the restaurant La
Cantina. With two tables reserved, the members all had a good chance to talk
to each other. We had a nice meal in a contemporary, newly opened and very
popular restaurant. The food was simple and good, but the place is much nicer
during the evening.
Eleven members
turned up at Britta’s house for the club’s first Fun Flea. Many
purses, belts, scarves, shoes, clothes and kitchen ustensils changed owners.
Wine, coffee and cakes mixed with laughter made it a fun afternoon. Thank you
Britta, we certainly plan to do this again!
We didn’t let the cold snowy weather dampen our
spirits. Nineteen members and their guests thoroughly enjoyed our excursion to
the Georgia O’Keeffe art exhibition at the Kunsthaus Zürich. Our tour guide was exceptional and we all learned a great
deal about O’Keeffe’s work and her extraordinary life. She certainly overcame great odds (against women) to become
one of the great figures of 20th century art. After the tour, we had a delightful meal at the newly
remodeled Kunsthaus Restaurant. We
all agreed this was an IWCL experience to remember.
Due to a lack of interest the Ceramic Painting
event was cancelled, but will probably be offered at a future date.
The February
movie was “Lost in Translation”. Sofia Coppola’s film about
coping with life in a foreign country certainly struck a few chords with our
members.
