Fête de la Tulipe: avril-mai
Quais du Dahlia: juillet-octobre
Parc de l'Indépendance

Meeting at 11 a.m. at the Big Parking Lot situated along the Route Suisse in Morges (P sign on map beneath next to the green patches corresponding to the big Parc along the Lake)

Distance from Geneva: 50 km. The creek at Morges can be explored on foot in its entirety. The town centre is flanked by two typical examples of sentry boxes, and modestly turns its gaze towards its better endowed Savoy neighbour, crowned by Mont-Blanc's majestic summit.
700 years of history have seeped into the walls of Morges, the most important town in the district.
«La Grand-Rue» is the high street and the town's backbone, its attractive paved cobbles and sets
criss-cross the whole neighbourhood. Lift your eyes a moment and enjoy the entertaining shop signs,
artfully created in wrought iron by a master blacksmith of Morges.

The old town, its tiny back-alleys and boutiques, are distractions well worth returning to daily. To take a stroll through the Wednesday and Saturday markets is to breathe in the the smells and tastes of
the country.

The galley La Liberté
